THE GRAND ENTRANCE

With its beautiful chequered marble floors, high ceiling, and grand staircase, this main entrance to the House will make a lasting first impression on anyone. The room features a huge fifty-light bronze swan necked neoclassical Chandelier from the early 20th century, which has been passed down for four generations. The room also features multiple late 19th and early 20th century gilt furniture, including a Louis XV style gilt mirror console table with a lion marble figural.

THE GREEN DRAWING ROOM

Serve traditional English afternoon tea in this soothing and elegant formal Drawing room, full of beautiful details. The room was built during the era of early Victorian explorers, when Dr Livingstone and Henry Stanley were first discovering Africa and Egypt, and reflects such exploits with an Egyptian theme. The room is adorned with gilt hyroglyph details carved into the stone of the House, large oil paintings reminescent of the time, and 19th Centuty Edwardian furniture with hand carved Egyptian motifs.

THE FORMAL DINING ROOM

The Formal Dining Room can seat up to 10 people comfortably on its early 19th century oak table and chairs. The walls are adorned with a series of classic English hunting scene oil paintings, giving the room life and character. Enjoy a delightful, festive meal here with friends and family in front of the large marble fireplace, for a lovely memory of time spent together.

THE LIBRARY

The collection includes the classics such as Dickens, Shakespear, Austen, and many more. Mention of the house can even be found in one of the Catherine Cookson books. The large regency mahogany desk also makes an ideal setting for any work or buisness that you many need to conduct during your visit.

CELESTIAL SUITE

The top floor of the Manor is very much a separate apartment onto itself. The Celestial Suite is so called because of the numerous skylights which can be found throughout, creating an amazing space of light which makes you feel like you're up in the sky. The Suite includes two of the Manor' bedrooms, its own small kitchen and one large communal room. This room features a flat screen TV, a large observation window, a beautiful six person inlaid dining table in front of a balcony, and enough couch space to seat at least 12 people. Most impressive though is the huge floor to ceiling Victorian fireplace featured in the middle of the room. This area is perfect for sun and stargazing lovers, or for parties who would prefer to have everyone in the same space, even if not everyone is doing the same thing.

THE LONDON ROOM

Enjoy a movie, a book, or even play the piano in in this big and cozy room. The room gets its name from the various paintings depicting different London scenes hanging on the walls, however its warm and relaxing atmosphere is what makes this room stand out. The very large and obscenely comfortable couches feel heavenly after a long day of exploring, or for a lazy afternoon. The plush carpet is ideal for friends or family gathering around a game in front of the fire for some quality time, and the large speakers make impromptu dance parties a cinch. We promise you will be addicted to this room by the end of your stay.

INFORMAL DINING ROOM

Attached to the London Room, the Informal Dining Room is perfect for smaller, informal meals. Small and cozy, it nonetheless features a beautiful inlaid table that can seat up to eight people and a view into the lush greenery of the conservatory, making meals here intimate and comfortable. The room also includes a pull out sofa for any members of your party who may have trouble going up the stairs.

THE CONSERVATORY

The Conservatory sits in the Manor's courtyard and is surrounded by glass and has an opaque roof. Found right off the London Room and the Main Kitchen, this room is bright and usually uncommonly warm. The Glass Room is essentially a small conservatory, and inside you will find a grape vine, money trees, fruit trees, and more lush greenery. Enjoy an afternoon nap in the sunlight on the couch surrounded by the beautiful plants found in this oasis Glass Room. The room opens up into a beautiful stone paved courtyard with a central firepit around which you can sit and enjoy the starry nights unique to the Manor, which is located in the only place dark enough to see the galaxy with the bare eye.
