Cragside House

At only 26 miles from the Cleugh Manor, Cragside House is an extraordinary Victorian house, gardens and woodland was created by the inventor, innovator and landscape genius Lord Armstrong. This was the first house in the world to be lit by hydroelectricity, and is crammed full of other ingenious gadgets. The property also features the largest rock garden in Europe, as well as beautiful formal gardens, and numerous forest trails. The property is also chock-full of kids friendly activities, including a labyrinth, the wildlife hide, a tree house, etc.
